Founded in 2011 by Steve Evans and based in Brighton and Portsmouth with 7 members of staff.
Big Top software was created so brands, marketing teams and agencies can quickly create, publish and measure marketing campaigns across all platforms and devices.
Big Top enables the creation of landing destinations and social experiences that generate prospects and engagement that can be tested, measured and scored. Existing customers include CERN, 100 higher and further education institutions, 30 local government agencies and corporate clients such as Dixons.
How did you come across the idea for your business?
We evolved from our sister business, NetNatives.com a digital marketing agency, where we needed to create destinations for our social and digital campaigns and demonstrate ROI quickly for our clients. The tools on the market were too focused on social engagement rather than tangible prospect capture and management, so we built our own and haven’t looked back.

Where do you see yourselves in a years time?
Having Big Top seen as the go to tool for digital agencies and with more clients outside of the UK (we already have a strong client base in Australia).
What advice would you give fellow startups?
Make quality of product and service your main focus and it really helps if you have a sustainable income that supports and drives innovation.
Anything else we should know?
The UK’s university admissions service, UCAS have used our software to engage with students and they increased their social reach by 191%. A fostering agency (another client) reduced their cost per enquiry by 80% thanks to Big Top and there are hundreds more similar stories that we’re always happy to talk about.
